Thursday's 8-star HS athletes (2/14)


1. Clay Hayes (Scotts Hill boys) – Hayes scored 27 points, but the Lions fell to Riverside in the District 15-A quarterfinals.

2. Teddy Vincent (Westview girls) – Vincent scored 27 points to lead the Lady Chargers to a 59-53 victory over Obion County in the District 13-AA semifinals.

3. William Hall (TCA boys) – Hall scored 25 points to lead the Lions to a 61-24 win over Sacred Heart in the District 15-A quarterfinals.

4. Brandi Goodman (Obion County girls) – Goodman scored 32 points, but the Lady Rebels fell to Westview in the District 13-AA semifinals.

5. Dreak Woods (Bolivar boys) – Woods scored 17 points to lead the Tigers to a 68-41 win over Lexington in the District 14-AA quarterfinals.

6. Chari Swift (Dyersburg girls) – Swift scored 22 points, but the Lady Trojans fell to Covington in the District 13-AA semifinals.

7. AJ Merriweather (South Side boys) – Merriweather scored 17 points as the Hawks beat Chester County 79-50 in the District 14-AA quarterfinals.

8. Ashia Jones (Covington girls) – Jones scored 19 points as the Lady Chargers beat Dyersburg 75-65 in overtime in the District 13-AA semifinals.

9. Shyheim Woods (JCM boys) – Woods scored 17 points, but the Cougars fell to Liberty in the District 14-AA quarterfinals.

1. Lucas Pyron (JCS boys) -- Pyron scored 34 points, but the Eagles lost to Bishop Byrne.

2. Letrell Huff (West Carroll boys) – Huff scored 33 points as the War Eagles came from behind to beat Clarksburg 78-75 in the District 13-A quarterfinals.

3. Ke’Shunan James (South Side girls) – James scored 26 points as the Lady Hawks beat Lexington 56-36 in the District 14-AA quarterfinals.

4. Tad Hayes (Clarksburg boys) – Hayes scored 25 points, but the rockets lost to West Carroll.

5. Cayla Sheets (Madison girls) – Sheets scored 21 points as the Lady Mustangs beat Adamsville 74-53 in the District 15-A quarterfinals.

6. Jasmine Washington (Madison girls) – Washington scored 21 points as the Lady Mustangs beat Adamsville.

7. Justice Scott (Huntingdon boys) – Scott scored 24 points as the Mustangs beat Bruceton 56-53 in the District 13-A quarterfinals.

8. Rekiyas McCauley (Bruceton boys) – McCauley scored 24 points, but the Tigers lost to Huntingdon.
