Thursday's 8-star athletes (8/22)


1. Jessica Neff (South Side volleyball) – Neff had 20 service points and 20 assists as the Lady Hawks beat Trenton Peabody in straight sets.

2. Molly Hall (USJ volleyball) – Hall had 19 kills, two aces and 10 digs as the Lady Bruins beat TCA in five sets.

3. Madelyn Lynch (Adamsville soccer) – Lynch scored two goals as the Lady Cardinals beat McNairy Central 2-1.

4. Savannah Pillow (Crockett County volleyball) – Pillow had seven kills and nine assists as the Lady Cavaliers beat Arlington in straight sets.

5. Meg Goethals (Sacred Heart soccer) – Goethals scored the lone goal as the Lady Knights beat Chester County 1-0.

6. Raven Cox (North Side volleyball) – Cox had 17 service points and 10 digs as the Lady Indians beat Haywood 3-1.

7. Jennifer Briley (TCA soccer) – Briley scored one goal and added an assist as the Lady Lions beat Scotts Hill 4-0.

8. Kasie Beene (Chester County volleyball) – Beene had eight digs and six aces as the Eaglettes beat Scotts Hill 3-0.

Tuesday's 8-star H.S. athletes (8/20)


1. Emily Whitaker (Sacred Heart soccer) – Whitaker scored three goals and added an assist as the Lady Knights beat South Gibson 8-0.

2. Kellie Hayes (Lexington volleyball) – Hayes had 10 kills, 10 assists, nine aces and 19 service points as the Lady Tigers beat Camden Christian in four sets.

3. Effie Ferrell (Jackson Christian soccer) – Ferrell scored two goals and added an assist as the Lady Eagles beat Northpoint Christian 8-0.

4. Savannah Pillow (Crockett County volleyball) – Pillow had four aces, 16 kills and 14 assists as the Lady Cavaliers beat Halls in five sets.

5. Abbey Fleming (USJ soccer) – Fleming scored two goals and added an assist as the Lady Bruins beat Dyersburg 7-0.

6. Edie Buchanan (Madison volleyball) – Buchanan had 41 kills and nine blocks as the Lady Mustangs beat South Side in five sets and fell to Dyersburg in three sets.

7. Paige Castleman (Madison soccer) – Castleman scored the golden goal in overtime and added an assist as the Lady Mustangs beat Adamsville 4-3.

8. Shelby Martin (Hardin County volleyball) – Martin had nine aces as the Lady Tigers swept Bolivar in three sets.

1. Amelia McLemore (Madison volleyball) – McLemore had 16 kills and six blocks as the Lady Mustangs swept Brighton in three sets.

2. Savannah Melton (Milan volleyball) – Melton had 13 kills, two blocks and four digs as the Lady Bulldogs swept Trenton Peabody in three sets.

3. Chase Harris (USJ golf) – Harris won the Dyersburg Invitational at The Farms after one playoff hole.

4. Kaylee Myracle (Lexington volleyball) – Myracle had 12 aces off 35 service points as the Lady Tigers swept McNairy Central in three sets.

5. Shelby Vaughn (Hardin County volleyball) – Vaughn had 19 assists as the Lady Tigers swept Perry County in three sets.

6. Jake Williams (South Side golf) – Williams shot a 36 to earn low medalist in a match against Chester County and Bradford.

1. Iva Estrada (Milan softball) – Estrada pitched a three-hit win and went 2-for-4 as the Lady Bulldogs beat Dyersburg 3-0.

2. Jada Jones (JCS softball) – Jones went 2-for-4 with a home run and picked up the win in the pitchers’ circle as the Lady Eagles beat Fayette Academy 14-12.

3. Nic Fortner (Westview soccer) – Fortner scored three goals as the Chargers beat Union City 6-0.

4. Brooke Kennedy (Riverside softball) – Kennedy went 2-for-3 and pitched a two-hitter as the Lady Panthers beat Scotts Hill 8-0.

5. Ally Glover (USJ softball) – Glover went 4-for-5 with the game-winning RBI as the Lady Bruins beat Tipton-Rosemark 1-0.

6. Hunter Sherrod (Crockett County baseball) – Sherrod went 2-for-3 as the Cavaliers beat Westview 6-3.

7. Shelby Spurgeon (TCA softball) – Spurgeon went 3-for-4 as the Lady Lions beat Adamsville 5-4.

1. Jacob Warbritton (Huntingdon baseball) – Warbritton went 3-for-4 with a home run as the Mustangs beat Big Sandy 8-1 in the District 13-A tournament.

2. Lauren Riddell (USJ softball) – Riddell went 3-for-4 as the Lady Bruins beat Fayette Academy 12-2.

3. Devyn Crowell (McKenzie baseball) – Crowell picked up his fifth win of the season on the mound with a one-hitter and went 2-for-3 as the Rebels beat Clarksburg 19-0 in the District 13-A tournament.

4. Michual Timby (Madison soccer) – Timby scored the lone goal as the Mustangs beat JCM 1-0.

5. Laura Villaflor (Riverside softball) – Villaflor went 3-for-4 as the Lady Panthers beat TCA 5-0.

6. Matt Chandler (McNairy Central baseball) – Chandler picked up the win on the mound and went 2-for-4 as the Bobcats beat Liberty 7-6 in the District 14-AA tournament.

7. Sierra Betterman (Huntingdon softball) – Betterman went 3-for-3 as the Fillies beat Camden 6-5.

5. Hannah Belew (Huntingdon softball) – Belew pitched a one-hitter as the Fillies beat McKenzie 2-0.
