Thursday's 8-star HS athletes


1. Tyler Peeler (South Side baseball) – Peeler picked up the win on the mound and hit a home run as the Hawks beat North Side 13-3.

2. Dane Piazza (Trenton Peabody soccer) – Piazza had two goals as the Golden Tide beat Westview 2-1.

3. Logan Pickett (Crockett County baseball) – Pickett went 3-for-4 with a home run as the Cavaliers beat Bolivar 7-6.

4. Hunter Anthony (USJ soccer) – Anthony scored two goals and added an assist as the Bruins beat North Side 3-1.

5. Hannah Belew (Huntingdon softball) – Belew pitched a one-hitter as the Fillies beat McKenzie 2-0.

6. Taylor McCarty (Huntingdon baseball) – McCarty picked up the win on the mound and went 3-for-5 as the Mustangs beat Ripley 7-1.

7. Tyler Thomason (TCA soccer) – Thomason scores two goals as the Lions beat JCM 3-0.

2. Tony Robinson (Greenfield baseball) – Robinson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run as the Yellowjackets beat Trenton Peabody 14-7.

3. Candace Maness (Lexington softball) – Maness went 3-for-3 with a home run as the Lady Tigers beat Riverside 12-10.

4. Dylan Hawkins (Milan baseball) – Hawkins went 2-for-5 with a home run as the Bulldogs beat Crockett County 12-8.

5. Freddy Ramirez (North Side soccer) – Ramirez had three goals and an assist as the Indians beat Haywood 10-0.

3. Brock Blakemore (JCS baseball) – Blakemore went 2-for-2 as the Eagles beat Bolivar 2-0.

4. Carlos Ramirez (Crockett County soccer) – Ramirez had a goal and an assist as the Cavaliers beat Westview 2-0.

5. Tristen Lowe (McKenzie baseball) – Lowe went 3-for-5 at the plate with a home run as the Rebels beat Dresden 12-2.

3. Brooke Baucum (McKenzie softball) – Baucum pitched a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts as the Lady Rebels beat West Carroll 4-0.

1. Zach Newman (McKenzie baseball) – Newman went 2-for-3 with a home run as the Rebels beat Gleason 18-3.

2. Savannah Pratt (McKenzie softball) – Pratt pitched a no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader against Gleason as the Lady Rebels won 12-0 and 10-0.

3. Carlos Ramirez (Crockett County soccer) – Ramirez scored two goals and added an assist as the Cavaliers beat Haywood 5-1.

4. Taylor McCarty (Huntingdon baseball) – McCarty went 2-for-4 with a home run as the Mustangs beat Clarksburg 12-2.

5. Kayla Bryant (Westview softball) – Bryant went 2-for-4 at the plate, including the game-winning RBI double, as the Lady Chargers beat Crockett County 3-0.

6. Cal Bradshaw (Wesview soccer) Bradshaw had two goals and two assists as the Chargers beat Gibson County 10-1.

7. Jake Morris (Milan baseball) – Morris picked up his third win of the season and went 2-for-4 batting as the Bulldogs beat Obion County 14-3.

8. Rafael Atilano (North Side soccer) – Atilano scored two goals as the Indians improved to 2-0 in District 13-AAA play with a 4-1 win over Brighton.

1. Jada Jones (JCS softball) – Jones pitched a perfect three-inning game and went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run as the Lady Eagles beat Harding Academy 16-0.

2. Reed Matheny (USJ baseball) – Matheny went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a home run, as the Bruins beat JCS 6-4 in eight innings.

3. Addison Dunn (USJ softball) – Dunn went 2-for-3 with a home run as the Lady Bruins beat Fayette Academy 9-2.

4. Dylan Slayton (Trenton Peabody baseball) – Slayton picked up his third win of the season on the mound and went 3-for-3 at the plate as the Golden Tide beat Bradford 11-1.

5. Savannah Dodson (Huntingdon softball) – Dodson went 4-for-6 as the Fillies beat Dresden twice in a doubleheader 6-0 and 10-5.

6. Clay Dancer (McNairy Central baseball) – Dancer went 4-for-5 and pitched a one-hitter in the second game as the Bobcats beat Fayette-Ware 10-0 twice in a doubleheader.

7. Avery Teague (TCA baseball) – Teague went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run as the Lions beat Madison 10-0 in five innings.

8. Kunal Patel (Milan soccer) – Patel scored twice as the Bulldogs beat Crockett County 4-1.

9. Clint Fisher (Riverside baseball) – Fisher went 4-for-4 as the Panthers beat Adamsville 16-5.

10. Mason Taylor (South Side baseball) – Taylor went 3-for-4 as the Hawks beat Chester County 4-2.

1. Ross Johnson (Trenton Peabody baseball) – Johnson went 4-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double while adding six RBI as the Golden Tide beat Eagleville 17-5.

2. Lauren Riddell (USJ softball) – Riddell picked up her fifth win in the pitchers’ circle and went 3-for-3 as the Lady Bruins beat Dyersburg 2-1.

3. Grant Lowrance (McKenzie baseball) – Lowrance hit a home run while batting 3-for-4 as the Rebels beat West Carroll 9-6.

4. Hunter Sherrod (Crockett County baseball) – Sherrod picked up his fourth win of the season, giving up two runs on three hits, as the Cavaliers beat Obion County 17-2.

5. Collin McPherson (Chester County baseball) – McPherson picked up the save on the mound and batted 2-for-2 as the Eagles beat Adamsville 8-4.

6. Jack Richardson (Sacred Heart soccer) – Richardson scored two goals as the Knights beat Scotts Hill 2-1 in overtime.

7. Reed  Matheny (USJ baseball) – Matheny went 3-for-4 as the Bruins won a rematch of last year’s Division II-A state championship 7-6 over Harding Academy.

3. Michael Spain (Lexington baseball) – Spain picked up the win on the mound and hit a walk-off three-run home run as the Tigers beat Liberty 6-3.

4. Colton Kail (Crockett County baseball) – Kail pitched eight innings, allowing one run on two hits and strikeout 15, and he also had a solo home run as the Cavaliers beat Dyersburg 2-1.

5. Dylan Slayton (Trenton Peabody baseball) – Slayton pitched a one-hitter as the Golden Tide beat South Fulton 5-0.

6. Jordan Long (Westview baseball) – Long threw a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks as the Chargers beat Gibson County 11-2.

7. Courtney Kiestler (JCS softball) – Kiestler hit two home runs while batting 2-for-4 as the Lady Eagles beat Fayette Academy 10-4.

8. Matt Poteete (JCS baseball) – Poteete pitched a two-hitter to improve to 5-0 while striking out 13 and went 2-for-2 with a home run as the Eagles beat Fayette Academy 9-0.

9. Kelly Rogers (Crockett County softball) – Rogers pitched a two-hitter and went 2-for-4 at the plate as the Lady Cavaliers beat Gibson County 12-0.

2. Alizia Church (Milan softball) – Church picked up the win in one game of the doubleheader and went 2-for-2 at the plate in the other as the Bulldogss beat Haywood 8-6 and 15-4.

3. Tyler McCartney (Bradford baseball) – McCartney improved ot 3-1 on the mound as the Red Devils beat Greenfield 3-2.

4. Micah Whitnell (South Gibson soccer) – Whitnell scored two goals as the Hornets beat Dyer County 4-0.

5. Dustin Neil (Adamsville baseball) – Neil went 2-for-3 at the plate at the Cardinals beat Madison 3-2.

6. Michael Spain (Lexington baseball) – Spain went 2-for-3 as the Tigers beat Liberty 10-1.
