Monday's 6-star H.S. athletes (10/8)


1. Hannah Wright (Liberty volleyball) – Wright had 11 kills, two blocks and nine aces as the Lady Crusaders beat McNairy Central in four sets in the District 14-AA quarterfinals.

2. Caitlyn Brown (Milan volleyball) – Brown had 24 assists, four aces and three digs as the Lady Bulldog swept Ripley in the District 13-AA quarterfinals.

3. Katie Williams (Crockett County soccer) – Williams had three goals and three assists as the Lady Cavaliers beat McKenzie 9-0.

4. Edie Buchanan (Madison volleyball) – Buchanan had 25 kills and two blocks as the Lady Mustangs beat Scotts Hill 3-0 in the District 15-A semifinals.

5. Kayla Guthrie (Westview soccer) – Guthrie scored five goals as the Lady Chargers beat Trenton Peabody 10-0.

6. Hannah Grider (TCA volleyball) – Grider had five aces, eight kills and four digs as the Lady Lions beat Riverside in straight sets in the District 15-A semifinals.

Thursday's 6-star athletes (10/4)


1. Cynthia Beene (Chester County volleyball) – Beene had 38 digs and 10 aces as the Eaglettes beat Madison 3-1.

2. Kayla Guthrie (Westview soccer) – Guthrie had two goals as the Lady Chargers beat Dyersburg 3-2.

3. Courtney Simmons (Hardin County volleyball) – Simmons had 13 digs and six aces as the Lady Tigers beat Perry County in straight sets.

4. Rebekah Lowrie (McNairy Central soccer) – Lowrie had two goals as the Lady Bobcats beat Wayne County 3-2.

5. Jessica Neff (South Side volleyball) – Neff had 27 assists as the Lady Hawks swept Milan in three sets.

6. Molly McWilliams (Lexington soccer) – McWilliams scored two goals as the Lady Tigers beat JCM 8-1.

1. Ashley Tipler (South Side volleyball) – Tipler had 10 kills and 10 blocks as the Lady Hawks beat Lexington in five sets.

2. Natalie Mendoza (North Side soccer) – Mendoza scored four goals as the Lady Indians beat South Side 6-1.
 
3. Hannah Grider (TCA volleyball) – Grider had 11 kills, 10 digs and eight aces as the Lady Lions swept Madison.

4. Emily Whitaker (Sacred Heart soccer) – Whitaker scored three goals as the Lady Knights beat Madison 4-2 to win the No. 1 seed in the District 15 A-AA North Division.

5. Savannah Pillow (Crockett County volleyball) – Pillow had 12 kills, 11 assists and five aces as the Lady Cavaliers swept South Gibson.

6. Jasmine Riley (JCS soccer) – Riley scored two goals and had an assist as the Lady Eagles beat Fayette Academy 4-0.

1. Clare Taylor (TCA volleyball) – Taylor had 25 kills and 10 digs as the Lady Lions beat USJ 3-2.

2. Teja Pearson (Liberty soccer) – Pearson scored twice as the Lady Crusaders beat Fayette-Ware 5-0.

3.  Cassidy Frazier (Hardin County volleyball) – Frazier had nine kills, three aces and eight digs as the Lady Tigers beat Perry County 3-1.

4. Rilee Taylor (Milan golf) – Taylor shot a 79 at The Farms and beat Union City’s Mollie Stone in a playoff to win the Region 7 A-AA individual title.

5. Cynthia Beene (Chester County volleyball) – Beene had 42 digs and five aces as the Eaglettes beat Corinth (Miss.) 3-1.

6. Sydney Chung (Madison golf) – Chung shot a 1-under 70 at Tennessee River Golf Club to win the Region 8 A-AA individual title.
